With Spring up and coming so many people do Spring Cleaning to get a fresh start for a new season. We want to do something kind of similar. We want to help all you Spring Clean, and start with yourselves. Clean out all the negative or overwhelming clutter in your mind and start fresh with a clean and clear mind. To help do this we at LAKI wanted to give you some of our favorite inspirational quotes that have helped us clear the clutter in our minds. 

I asked Ty and Tasha Coy (owner’s of LAKI) to give us their favorite quotes and why they like them, and towards the end I’ll share my own. So let’s hear what Ty and Tasha have to say. 

Ty Coy

“Do what you have to now, so you can do what you want later.”- Denzel Washington

Ty found this at 18 in a fortune cookie from Panda Express. He remembers reading it and feeling inspired because he was about to start his first business. He recalls slipping the small paper in between his phone and phone case, so that it would always be with him. For two years he had it, and would occasionally take it out and remember that he must do what he has to now, so that he can do what he wants later.

Tasha Coy

“Your life doesn't get better by chance, it gets better by change.” -Jim Rohn 

Tasha loves this quote because things will only happen if you put in the work for it. If you want something in life to change it’s not just going to happen, you have to put your mind to it. Not only this, but someone else will never do it for you. The change always starts with you! So get up and start changing the things that you’re unhappy about. Take action!

Maria Valletta (That’s me!)

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”- Ralph Waldo Emerson

The world is a hard place to be yourself in, but loving yourself and figuring out who you are is one of the greatest things you can do in a world such as this. Self love has always been important to me. Once you’ve learned to love and be yourself things in life tend to come much easier because there is no more second guessing. Be confident in who you are and your decisions and the world around you will admire you for being so you.
