I’ve never been good at early mornings, but I think with the help of these steps, I finally will be! Let’s get going.

7 Easy Steps to Make the Most of Your Mornings
Like I said before, I'm terrible at early mornings. I have a hard time waking up and feeling productive. So, if you’re anything like me these easy steps will be your saving grace.
Step 1: Start you morning the night before.
Make a list of all the things that need to get done the next morning before your day begins. You’ll wake up with a better idea of what the morning entails, and you’ll be less likely to be caught off guard by anything that needs to get done.
Step 2: Stay off your phone.
Phones are all over. In fact, your phone is probably your alarm clock making it super easy to hit your alarm and start scrolling through any social media platform, or any texts/ emails you may have received. Don’t do this! Make the day your own by staying off your phone and see how your mood and productivity are affected drastically.
Step 3: Drink a glass of water.
You’ve just gone at least 8 hours without water and your body needs water to start functioning correctly. That glass of water will get your mind and body started and ready for the day ahead of you. For extra health benefits try adding lemon to your glass of water. This’ll help your body’s nutrient absorption improve throughout the day.
Step 4: Get Active.
One of the first things you should do in the morning is exercise. Exercising is commonly known to boost physical and mental health by a long shot! This will also give you extra energy and a nice dose of productivity for your morning.
Step 5: Eat Breakfast.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I mean you hear it everywhere for a reason. Most of the body’s nutrients for the day are actually eaten right at breakfast. Which means if you’re not eating breakfast you’re less likely to get all the nutrients you need for the day. So, eat breakfast, and do your best to make it healthy and nutritious.
Step 6: Get that dreaded task out of the way.
There’s always that one task that you just do not want to do. I mean for me today I did not want to fold my laundry, and to be honest I don’t think I did (oops). However, Mark Twain says, “Eat a live frog first thing in the morning, and nothing worse will happen to you the rest of the day.” What he means is getting that dreaded task out of the way is a great way to ensure that the rest of the day is only filled with small and achievable tasks. I mean look at me, now I have to go home and finish laundry.
Step 7: Set goals for the rest of the day.
Setting goals for the rest of your day will allow you to feel more in control of what you have to do, and will allow those nagging anxieties to finally quiet down. Make sure to make your goals specific and achievable in order to keep yourself feeling productive.
